Once again a darling invitation served as the template for baby shower cake this week.

The mother, Tricia, is not your average woman, she is fancy. So we fancied up the cake a bit with luster dust and filagree. Thanks for the great idea Amber.

Butterflies and Birthdays

Roxanne and Isabelle were all a flutter on their 5th birthday! A tall neapolitan cake with free hand butterflies and a unique signature was just the ticket. Not too often do I get to cut the cake but I am friends of the birthday girls so I was privileged to not only cut the cake but to also see some of the faces..

I love France and everything french. The architecture, the fashion, the literature, the art, the smell of the bread baking in the streets, and most of all...the pastries and of course The French Pastry School. So when the Saint-Jean's son Liam turned 1, I was more than a little excited to make this little cake...joyeux anniversaire petit prince.
